On Saturday, Eriq called me and we went out to
Banklick Woods for some disc golf. The course is actually 24 holes, and is almost completely within the woods. The holes are much more difficult than at Woodland Mound, as trees become a major issue when they are both plentiful and in the way. One hole in particular (called "Nedly's Revenge") was extremely challenging, and also has an awesome name. In addition, the holes are pretty spread out, and finding the next one was fairly difficult at the beginning. However, despite all this, I felt it was an excellent course, though somewhat strenuous from hiking up and down all the hills. I had some good throws and some extremely lucky bounces, which was a lot of fun. For example, one throw bounced back up into the air twice, up a hill. I was pretty happy with it. After returning to the apartment for a short rest, Mike W. and I headed back out for Josh B.'s cookout (second of the year). The food was excellent, as always, though the grill took a while to get started. And Josh B. even bought the "high quality" charcoal. Later, we moved indoors and played some Catchphrase and Apples to Apples, which was a lot of fun. Finally, we set up Rock Band 2, and got everyone involved. We even got most of the hesitant people to play, and I think they had a lot of fun. All in all, a busy but fun day.
