Javin Skyfall was a sheriff of a backwoods planet known as Veladine. He lived in a small mining village, minding his own business. One day, an imperial officer showed up and declared the entire mining operation property of the empire. Javin had no choice but to shoot and kill the officer and then flee the planet on a passing freighter. Little did he know that the people he met on this freighter would be his companions for the next few years.

This group of companions went on countless adventures, involving themselves in all sorts of bad company, but usually devising a scheme to turn their enemies against each other and do the dirty work for them. Eventually, they encountered a woman named Veed, who gave them a bad feeling.

Later on, they saved a race of lizardmen from slavery on a jungle planet called Topani. Two of the companions, Dran Ecklin and Amirtae Laserbeam, took part in a strange ritual that granted them strange powers. Javin did not feel the same calling and did not take part.

Eventually, the group decided to organize as it was becoming clear that the empire was seeking to control the entire system. A rebel base was established on Veladine.

The party continued searching ancient ruins for more info on the Malikori race, an extinct species that utilized strange crystals to enhance their abilities. This led them to Lucasek, an industrial world that the empire was controlling to produce brain implants.

After shutting down production, the party discovered a living Malikori in stasis, though he was being possessed by an evil Malikori ghost. After driving the ghost out, the party returned to Lucasek and found it under imperial control.

General Mar of the Imperial Navy had been acting of his own accord and was attempting to create a hivemind of networked Stormtroopers. After infiltrating the General's battlecruiser, the group confronted him once and for all on the bridge and destroyed him, saving the system.
