Chapter 1, The Job

Basically, Marcus wanted Sarasvati to help him build some kind of prophetic supercomputer. She said she wanted to think about it, as she was still pretty shaken up from the day's events. They both exited the room and Sarasvati pried her friend away from Brian, though not before she left her number on a napkin. The ladies left the shop, but Marcus continued to hang around. Being the businessman that I am, I inquired about our payment. Marcus paid up by telling us about a hallow in an abandoned church a few minutes away. A hallow is a place where mages can meditate and recover their ability to bend reality, or "mana." Needless to say, having a hallow nearby is great resource to mages. Perhaps we should keep Marcus around after all.
