Chapter 1, The Chase

Thinking quickly, I manipulated the sound waves around me and made some footstep sounds come from the kitchen. In a stroke of wonderful luck (possibly Brian's doing), Sarasvati checked the kitchen and then returned to the living room. I don't know what we would have said had she found us hiding in her bathroom. What would you do if you found three sketchy, gun-toting guys that you met yesterday hiding in your bathroom? We are such creeps. I continued to scry, and the agents asked her to go with them for a "job." Sarasvati declined and the agents got into their car and left. And that was it. Talk about overreaction. I portaled us back into the hallow, but I forgot to scry it beforehand. A homeless man saw us come through the portal and must have caused a minor paradox. I became paranoid of everyone around me. I shoved the homeless man out of the church as he babbled about us just appearing or something. I even became suspicious of Brian and Desmond.
