The librarian recognized Brian and saw that he now had an ID card. Luckily, she didn't get suspicious. We told her what we needed and a different librarian came down, clearly annoyed. She began to ask questions about why we wanted the document, which wasn't good, since we planned on stealing or copying it. Brian was able to make up some reason about doing some research on colonial junk and the librarian bought it. We entered the reading room and and she finally left us alone with the document. It wasn't huge, but Desmond wasn't able to duplicate it. In addition, we couldn't read it, so we couldn't copy it manually. It was decided that I'd use Space magic to steal it later and replace it with a blank book that looked the same on the outside. We left, and having seen the book, it was easy to combine Space with Desmond's Matter magic to reach through space and take the book, replacing it with the blank book. I hoped no one would notice, as my friend's reputation was at stake. But when was the last time anyone ever wanted this thing anyway?
